Baby Things

Most of the gifts Jen and Don came in a cute little wicker basket with "baby things" embroidered on it. It was way cute (along with all the clothes and things!), and I couldn't resist.

The rattle came from them, too. Whenever I get it out she won't let it go!

Pretty in Pink... with Sheep

Erin has a really cute outfit, and it was perfect lighting for pictures... so add a pink sheep and... voila!

Very Hungry Catepillar

One of my favorite "baby books" is The Very Hungry Catepillar, and I love reading it to Erin. One of her outfits had the catepillar on it (even the strawberry hat!), but she was starting to grow out of it so I had to move fast and snap a few pictures while it still fit. Enjoy! She's growing into a beautiful butterfly!

Rattle The Cage

Erin loves her puppies so much, she loves tease the dogs by "rattling their cage" while their in it. Basically, she just stands and holds on with all her strength, but since her balance is still being worked on she slightly wiggles back and forth trying to maintain it. But it's majorly cute and the dogs just try to ignore it.

Student Driver

Erin wanted to say goodbye to Daddy before he left for work today... or so we thought. She really just wanted to drive!

PPD

Okay, so it's been hitting me hard this week. There are times when I just want to scream and yell at Erin to shut up! Times when she's so tired (and I'm so tired) that she won't go to sleep and she just cries so hard. It scares me what I will/can/do do. I try not to think about it, I try not to act on things... but it's hard. I love her so much, but I get so frustrated. I don't know how to explain it, because I'm trying not to think about it.

It started last Thursday and has lasted through this week. It got so bad that by Sunday I was ready to just hand her over to whomever. I just wanted to drop her off and never come back. Monday I went to see Dr. Janet. I told her my feelings. oye. It's hard. I've calmed down but I still... oye.

And being depressed I haven't eaten as well as I should or drank as much as I should, and it was affecting my milk supply. I told Chris my milk was low and it was hurting to nurse her. He made me feel so guilty. It's not like I knew what I was doing! I don't want to hurt her... and I didn't mean to if I did. And I hate how Chris made me feel about the low milk. I didn't realize I wasn't eating or drinking enough until today. I mean, I was depressed! I didn't notice. So now I have to really watch it.

Sitting Up

Erin has been sitting up on her own for a week now. She can't get to the sitting position on her own, but she stays seated upright on her own. Earlier in the week, she was leaning way over to hold ehrself up, like a bad yoga position. Then she got where she was sitting up on her own (a bit tri-pod-ish) for a second or two before falling over/backwards. But now she's totally sitting upright on her own for quite some time, usually until she tries to take something to her mouth. She doesn't quite get that she can totally raise something completely to her mouth. She tenses up her hands, raises the item very slightly, and then lowers her head to get her mouth closer the rest of the way, which makes her fall. But it's so great she's sitting upright unsupported.
